Challenge Accepted Escape Rooms is an entertainment facility in Bloomingdale, IL that offers immersive escape room experiences.

My Role

• Responsible for website redesign, focused on a scrollable and digestible homepage, mobile responsiveness, and modernizing the existing brand identity.
• Built the site using Nuxt 2 (Vue.js framework), ensuring optimal performance and ease of development.
• Built an API with Node.js that currently processes newsletter subscriptions with Mailchimp.
• Integrated with reCAPTCHA v3 to protect the newsletter subscription form and the API endpoint that it submits to.
• Deployed the production site with Docker containerization on the Google Cloud Platform (Cloud Run), guaranteeing scalability and reliability at an affordable cost.
• Implemented Google Analytics integration and Google Ads conversion tracking for data-driven insights.
• The production site is containerized using Docker and hosted on the Google Cloud Platform (GCP) using Cloud Run. The site is also tightly integrated with Google Analytics and tracks conversions from Google Ads.

The impact the new website has had on the business has been substantial, resulting in measurably more clicks and bookings at Challenge Accepted and a positive reaction from the entertainment center's customer base.
